"Home is a feeling"

Because they tell a story and emanate a sensation you can embrace, images are key elements when you aim to give your home a unique look that will turn heads.

They allow you to express your unique personality, tastes, and dreams.

Designers understand this well and use it to create universes where you are automatically transported.

ABOUT THE SACRÉ-CŒUR PROJECT DRAWING:

The project for the Sacré-Cœur of Montmartre, located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, is the work of architect Paul Abadie. In 1874, Abadie created a cross-section drawing for this iconic basilica, whose construction began in 1875. This drawing is a reproduction of his initial plan and offers a detailed view of the architecture and internal structure of the building.

The Sacré-Cœur is designed in a Romano-Byzantine style, inspired by medieval churches and oriental basilicas. The building stands out for its brilliant whiteness, due to the Château-Landon stone, which regenerates on contact with rainwater.

Paul Abadie won the competition for the construction of the Sacré-Cœur among 78 proposals. His 1874 drawing reveals a cross-section of the basilica, highlighting the arrangement of the domes, naves, and apses. This illustration allows for an understanding of the complexity and grandeur of the structure, which combines traditional elements and architectural innovations of the time.

The Sacré-Cœur was completed in 1914 and consecrated in 1919, becoming a major spiritual and tourist symbol of Paris. Paul Abadie's drawing remains an essential reference for appreciating the architect's original vision and the realization of this historic monument.
