It is said that less sunshine and the cold can affect our body and our mood.

Obviously, I'm not teaching you anything by saying that moving is one of the best options for boosting our body temperature as well as our endorphins.

But personally, what particularly appeals to me are those little things that we can do on a daily basis and which do so much good. Things as simple as getting out my big woolen socks (ok, those of my boyfriend), my warm blankets, my cushions and everything that keeps you warm.

Here is a list of tips that will help you stay warm during the cold period. Some are obviously to be used sparingly due to their slightly less green character, but hey, everything remains in balance and common sense.

My best everyday tips

  • Hearth fires

  • A good hot bath

  • A herbal tea after dinner

  • A cheese dip

  • All soups

  • Stews

  • Have a good tea at 4:00 p.m.

  • Candles all over the house

  • Make yourself a hot chocolate

  • Wear a woolen sweater

  • Chunky knitted stockings with Scandinavian patterns

  • Nice and warm pajamas
  • Hugs and other hugs

  • Listen to a pasted movie

  • flannel blankets

  • Invest in a good bathrobe

  • Bake cookies or a pie

  • A hot water bottle or a magic bag while reading a book

  • Blankets all over the house
