Luxurious homemade liquid hand soap recipe
“In the 1950s and 1960s, the luxury was to buy products to save time at home. Prepared meals made their debut and the many manufactured products continued to multiply. Anything that could save time was welcome. »
When we know that already prepared products can cost up to 10x more and even more for some, we understand why, even if it is an everyday object, they become a luxury. The irony is that we work more to be able to afford them, that we are more and more exhausted and that we are watching for new things that could save us even more time. Which, in my opinion, is nonsense.
Strangely, today, there is a certain return of the pendulum. Luxury, in 2019, is to find yourself and, above all, to take time to do something yourself, to reconnect with know-how and authenticity. We try more and more homemade products.
So, I give you my hand soap recipe (super easy) which, in my opinion, is an excellent start and brings great pride! You can do it with the children or quietly while drinking a good hot coffee!
INGREDIENTS
.
- 100g of soap flakes
- 500ml of water
- Essential oils
- 1 soap dispenser
STEPS
1. Heat the water and add the soap flakes.
2. Over medium heat, stir with a wooden spoon until the chips are completely dissolved.
2. Take your soap dispenser, add the mixture to it and shake.
LITTLE TIP : Personally, I add about ten drops of the peony & lavender scented oil from La Maison Lavande ; it's simply divine and done several times, it comes at a completely ridiculous price!!!!

MARSEILLE SOAP
The reputation of Marseille soap (made with 72% olive oil) is well established, it is probably the most popular of all the soaps in the world. Extra pure and biodegradable, it has been made the old-fashioned way by hand, in a cauldron, for hundreds of years. There are endless recipes on the web for natural cleansers based on this soap, as much for laundry, home, shaving, etc!
Without palm oil, without animal fat, without perfume, without dye. What else do you want?
For the recipe, it is important to use a real Marseille soap, because regular soaps (with added glycerin) will not allow your laundry to remain liquid.
INGREDIENTS
STEPS
1. Boil water in a saucepan.
2. Add grated soap to boiling water, stir well.
3. Once the soap has completely melted, turn off the heat.
4. Off the heat, add the baking soda and the soda crystals.
5. Leave to stand and stir occasionally to loosen foam and prevent mixture from settling.
6. Once the detergent is very cold, remove the excess foam and pour into a pitcher.
OPTIONAL : Add a few drops of essential oils.
LITTLE TIP: Shake well before each use and enjoy the happiness of a homemade product, made with love! Looking forward to hearing your impressions :)
