Counter the grayness of November

slowliving
& NOVEMBER

November already. I'm one of those who don't particularly like November because the light is scarce and everything seems to be in a state of latency. Being very sensitive to my environment, it affects me a lot. But over time, I learned to take advantage of it by including small moments of well-being in my daily life. I will share with you here, one tip per week throughout the month.

Hot drinks

Because everything is so comforting about preparing a hot drink in the middle of November. It's a pleasure with which I reconnect every year, as if I had put it aside a little, to finally find it again and love it again. It all starts with the selection, it seems like this time is more conducive to preparing something special, enjoying it and taking your time to concoct it. Then feel a hot cup in your hands and wait a few minutes for it to cool down a bit. For me, it's a short 2 minutes where you can completely disconnect and savor the moment. Nothing special, but oh so soothing. And this, to finally enjoy a drink that warms our hearts as much as our bodies. - HOMEMADE MAPLE CHAI LATTE -

INGREDIENTS

2 cups almond milk or milk of your choice
1 bag of chai tea
2 tbsp. maple syrup

‰PREPARATION

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the milk and all the chai ingredients.
  2. Heat the mixture gently, without bringing it to a boil, for 15 to 20 minutes in order to infuse the ingredients well.
  3. Remove the pockets with a spoon or pass through a sieve before serving.

And when I want a little extra, I froth milk and sprinkle with cinnamon.
A real joy!
