#SLOWLIFE GUIDE
How I stopped running after 5:00 p.m.
“I grew up in the 80s, and in the 80s to 2000, women were taking their place in the labor market. We were witnessing the rise of the superwoman. They were highly valued. There were articles in the magazines that told how to optimize all areas of your life and be super efficient at all levels. »
Conversely, today, in blogs, we talk about slowing down, self-care, simplicity. And that speaks to me. It is probably the return of the pendulum.
At the beginning of my professional life, I wanted to reproduce the model I knew. But with the arrival of a child, and then a second, it no longer worked for me. Exhaustion defined my life. After a long day of work and traffic, the happy hour was the nail in the coffin; children who are hungry, who are impatient, the supper to be made at full speed, the bath, the lunches…, and I fell to start again the next day. No pleasure or rest in sight.
In short, it was hell.
Basically, I just wanted to do what had to be done, as quickly as possible. I was trying to go faster to buy some time, but it just made the atmosphere heavier.
And when I thought of the others, I couldn't understand how a normal family could manage to do everything without breaking down. When I FINALLY decided to organize myself and stop living day to day like a 19 year old girl, it completely changed my life.
THE TECHNIQUE THAT GAVE ME MORE FREE TIME
Since then, I have changed many things in my way of life to simplify it. One of my tricks is bulking. This technique consists of doing all the same repetitive tasks, only once a week, or once a month. According to what it is.
If you have ever done business with a printing company, you will understand the concept automatically. Whether you order the printing of 50 or 500 posters, it will be roughly the same delivery time and the price will not vary that much. Why? Simply because it costs the same in labor and the preparation of the plates is the same.
The most profitable solution therefore consists in waiting to have a sufficiently high volume to place an order.
SUCH A SIMPLE SOLUTION
Bundling is therefore the solution to repetitive tasks. I apply it, for example, for lunches! The installation is the same, the production slightly higher, but barely. So if you pack lunches every night of the week, it can take 20 minutes each time. If you choose to do it on Sunday night for the whole week, like me, it will take about 30.
Over time, me, the girl who lived with the wind, the organization became the ace in my game in order to manage to live at this sweet rhythm so much desired and to reduce my stress. It gives me time to tell a story to my children, to find out about their day, laugh with them and, in turn, go read a little before going to sleep.
So I settle down with my 10 bento-style boxes and I slowly put my little healthy boxes in place. In addition to saving me time in preparation (because it's the set-up that takes the longest) it's really, really a lot less dishes to do. Only 1 dish to wash, not 4. Only 1! So less time filling and emptying the dishwasher. And you can easily skip every other day with fewer dishes.
I know it's a bit expensive but by practicing groupage, you are also guaranteed to have lunches for the whole week. That means no restaurant, cafeteria or take out. In the end, it will probably save you money. In any case, here it was!
And then, let's face it, there is real satisfaction in having a healthy lunch. In addition to the envious gaze of your colleagues with whom you can share your thing!

MARSEILLE SOAP
The reputation of Marseille soap (made with 72% olive oil) is well established, it is probably the most popular of all the soaps in the world. Extra pure and biodegradable, it has been made the old-fashioned way by hand, in a cauldron, for hundreds of years. There are endless recipes on the web for natural cleansers based on this soap, as much for laundry, home, shaving, etc!
Without palm oil, without animal fat, without perfume, without dye. What else do you want?
For the recipe, it is important to use a real Marseille soap, because regular soaps (with added glycerin) will not allow your laundry to remain liquid.
STEPS
1. Boil water in a saucepan.
2. Add grated soap to boiling water, stir well.
3. Once the soap has completely melted, turn off the heat.
4. Off the heat, add the baking soda and the soda crystals.
5. Leave to stand and stir occasionally to loosen foam and prevent mixture from settling.
6. Once the detergent is very cold, remove the excess foam and pour into a jug.
OPTIONAL : Add a few drops of essential oils.
LITTLE TIP: Shake well before each use and enjoy the happiness of a homemade product, made with love! Looking forward to hearing your impressions :)
“The secret to happiness is to take a genuine interest in all the details of daily life. »
